92Y TriBeCa puts on some really good musical acts. This past Saturday I went to a show and the Tall Tall Trees and Sweat and Shake played. I was impressed with the venue much more so than the music. Tall Tall Trees needs to be more engaged with their audience and Sweat and Shake should continue to write up beat, contemporary blue grass with a little pop/singer songwriter influence. The harmonica is definitely a fun addition to this youthful foursome. It definitely put on some smiles in the audience and it was added plus to hear that the band played a private mini show for a couples engagement in the space before the show! Music truly brings people together. The 92Y is a good place to feel a sense of community and common interest.
Aaron who runs the music effort at the TriBeCa location is making an amazing effort to put on some great shows with a good scene and most importantly good music of all genres. As an aspiring developing artist myself I am thankful for places that are supportive and proactive about new music. And it’s convenient to get to, too!
